Since the application is working, we know that the VPS provider is not blocking port 25 and nor is my firewall. The firewall is blocking port 587. I think I may have found a clue though. So, that's why our regular company email works fine on SMTP port 25 and does not at home on my residential FiOS. I will check with my admin to see if we can use a different port for company emails.
